A taste of freedom in New Zealand, after the easing of some COVID-19 lockdown measures that have been in place since March 26. However, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has warned that the country is not “out of the woods” yet. The easing of restrictions is the first step towards getting the economy moving again. On April 28, New Zealanders raced straight into queues to get their fix of fast food and coffee. Malls, pubs and hairdressers will remain closed for at least another two weeks.
