Police have warned of a new coronavirus telephone scam taking advantage of innocent Londoners.
Scammers have taken advantage of the NHS Track and Trace being rolled out to try to take payments from unsuspecting people.
The Track and Trace service is currently being trialled so that people who have been exposed to coronavirus can be alerted and told to isolate.
However reports have already emerged of people pretending to be from the official service calling and demanding payment for a coronavirus test.
Scammers claim the person on the phone has been in contact with someone suffering from Covid-19 and ask for bank details so they can pay £500 for a coronavirus test.
